Terms of Service
Last updated: April 22, 2026
These terms explain what you can expect from Taylor Murphy, doing business as Boring Streak ("Boring Streak," "we," "us"), the publisher of the Boring Streak app, and what we need from you to keep the app working for everyone. By downloading or using the app, you agree to them.
1. Who can use the app
You need to be at least 13 to use Boring Streak. If you're in the United States and under 18, you should have a parent or guardian review these terms with you. The app is sold worldwide through the Apple App Store; some features may not be available in every country.
2. What the app is
Boring Streak is a self-help tool designed to help you abstain from gambling through daily check-ins, a savings tracker, and a Screen Time / FamilyControls-based blocker. It's a tool, not a substitute for professional treatment.
3. Your account
You sign in to the app with Sign in with Apple. You're responsible for your Apple ID credentials. If someone else uses your Apple ID to access the app, their activity will look like yours to us.
4. Subscription, free trial, and cancellation
- Pricing. Subscription prices are shown in the paywall in the app and processed by Apple. Prices may vary by region.
- Free trial. If you start a free trial, it converts to a paid subscription at the listed price unless you cancel before the trial ends.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period until you turn auto-renew off at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You can cancel or manage your subscription at any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or via the "subscription" row inside the app's Profile tab.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Acceptable use
Please don't: reverse-engineer the app, use it to harass anyone, attempt to bypass the subscription gate, use someone else's account without permission, or use the referral system in bad faith (e.g., creating fake accounts to farm free months). If you do, we may suspend or terminate your account.
6. Content you add
You keep ownership of any content you put into the app (your first name, daily bet amount, streak history, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and display that content inside the app and to sync it through our backend so you can restore it on another device.
7. The blocker
The gambling blocker uses Apple's Screen Time / FamilyControls framework. It is a best-effort tool: it blocks what you tell it to block using OS-level APIs, but no blocker can guarantee full coverage of every gambling app, site, or ad. You remain responsible for your choices. Disabling the blocker is intentional friction (a 30-minute cooldown and a streak reset) — it is not a security feature.
8. Referrals
When a friend signs up with your referral code and becomes a paying subscriber, both accounts receive a one-month credit. We reserve the right to revoke credits obtained through fraud, duplicate accounts, or bot activity.
9. Availability
We try to keep the app working all the time, but we can't promise it will always be available, bug-free, or compatible with every iPhone or iOS version. Features may change, be added, or be removed.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. Use at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Boring Streak (and its publisher, Taylor Murphy) is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any gambling losses or related financial harm. Total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Termination
You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. On termination, your license to use the app ends; you can still request an export or deletion of your data per the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and highlight material changes in-app. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah, unless a different forum is required by applicable consumer law where you live.
15. Apple App Store
The app is licensed to you by us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or these terms. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, Apple's only obligation is to refund the purchase price of the app (if any). These terms are an agreement between you and us; Apple is a third-party beneficiary entitled to enforce them.
